Officials of the "vacation-only" start-up carrier today announced its planned debut at Chicago/Rockford International Airport. It will be the first airline to base its flight operations at the Rockford facility, which is located 60 miles northwest of Chicago.
Festival says it will use Boeing 7-57-200 aircraft for flights to such destinations as Las Vegas, Orlando, Cancun and St. Thomas, some as part of vacation packages. Specific information is not yet available on its Web site.
Festival will also plans to offer flights out of Chicago's Midway International Airport.
