UPDATE: Stateline Man Sentenced for Armed Robbery

UPDATE: ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The man convicted of robbing a gas station and a McDonald's after locking employees inside a cooler has been sentenced to natural life in prison for armed robbery.

45-year-old Louis Gulley was sentenced today after he was found guilty of a South Beloit armed robbery that happened back in 2012.

Armed Robbery usually has a sentencing range of 21-45 years, but because of Gulley's prior record, he faced a natural life sentence.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The man accused of locking employees inside a McDonald's cooler while he robbed the place and a neighboring gas station could spend life his paying for the crime.

Louis Gulley, 45, has been found guilty of armed robbery.

Prosecutors say back in April 2012, he hit up the Shell Gas Station and McDonald's on Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit. Gulley faces life in prison because of his criminal record. He'll be sentenced December 6.
