A second shift is expected to start at the Chrysler plant in mid-March. Arvin Meritor does the suspension module for Chrysler and needs about 80 workers. Workplace needs temps to start that second shift. A job fair will be held to look for 50 assemblers and 30 material handlers.
Tracy Shulz with Workplace says, "We're looking for people that are dependable, motivated, that have good mechanical ability. Quick learner’s, people who can catch on quickly because we have to be trained in brief amount of time to get up to speed on this 2nd production line."
The job fair is next Saturday, February 18th at Arvin Meritor in Belvidere from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also apply at Workplace if you are unable to be at that job fair.
