Coming in at Number One: gas prices.
Gas prices accounted for 12 percent of the 26,652 consumer complaints received by Madigan's office last year.
In second place were credit-related issues and construction and home improvement complaints were third. In fourth place were telecommunication complaints and promotions and schemes were fifth.
Rounding out the top ten were used cars and mail order sales, financial services, car repairs and utilities.
Complaints to Madigan's office were up almost eleven percent last year over 2004.
