As Jess Hale looks back at the 1965 Plymouth Fury, it brings back fond memories working at the Belvidere assembly plant.
"I do remember making, working, and repairing the car. It's a big car, not like we make today," says Jess Hale, retired Chrysler employee.
Hale worked at the Chrysler plant in Michigan before transferring to the Belvidere factory where he worked from 1965 to 1996. The 1965 Plymouth Fury was the first car model built at the Belvidere plant.
It’s displayed in the Boone County Historical Society Museum.
