UPDATE: Man Sentenced for Road Ranger Robbery

UPDATE: A Rockford man arrested for holding up a local gas station is heading to prison.

Today, 29-year-old Christopher Robinson was sentenced to 4.6 years. He was convicted of robbing the Road Ranger on 11th Street back in September 2013.

Robinson got away with some cash and was taken into custody hours later at a nearby motel.

UPDATE: Rockford police have arrested Christopher Robinson, the suspect wanted in connection with a Road Ranger gas station robbery last weekend. Police say they picked him up last night at a Rockford motel in the 3800 block of 11th st.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) –Authorities are on the hunt today for the suspect who robbed a Road Ranger gas station last weekend. A search for the man centered around Atwood Park this afternoon.

The robbery happened last Sunday at the Road Ranger on 11th Street. Rockford Police had a warrant out for the suspect and it’s believed that suspect ran from police today near a home in the 200 block of Mead Drive. That led police then to Atwood Park in New Milford but they still haven’t located that suspect.
