ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Police say 44-year-old Trovoie Huggins was found dead inside his west side home on Cambridge Avenue around 10pm Saturday.
Cambridge is in between Springfield Avenue and South Pierpont. Officers say the victim was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead on the scene just before midnight on Saturday. The victim's family says they are trying to make sense of the recent violence.
"I don't think people have respect for life anymore, and they don’t value what life is and if you restore that you will see life is worth living. To take someone's life at 44, it's a waste," says Patrick Redmond, the victim’s brother-in-law.
