ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- On July 2nd, 2013, the Rockford Police Department, Stateline Area Narcotics Team (SLANT), Illinois State Police, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, Loves Park Police, Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Division and the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office combined resources in a cooperative policing effort to conduct narcotic investigations in the Rockford area.
The operation focused on narcotics complaints from citizens in the Rockford area. During the operation, law enforcement officers conducted investigations at more than 20 narcotic complaint locations. Listed below are the results of the investigations where arrests were made:
Location: 415 Burbank Avenue
Arrested: Kenneth Henson, 44, of Rockford
Charge: Violation of CCA possession of more than 20 but less than 50 cannabis plants
Location: 402 Bayliss Avenue
Arrested: Luciano Gonzalez, 25, of Rockford
Charge: Violation of CCA, possession with the intent to deliver more30 but less than 500 grams of cannabis
Location: 315 N. Longwood Ave #1
Arrested: Michael Gregory, 49, of Rockford
Charge: Violation of CCA, possession with the Intent to deliver more than 10 but less than 30 grams of cannabis
Location: 2139 7th Street
Arrested: Omar Jones, 24, of Rockford
Charge: Violation of CCA, possession of more than 2.5 but less than 10 grams of cannabis
During the narcotics investigation, the following contraband was recovered:
35 suspected cannabis plants
512 grams of suspected cannabis
The Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Division conducted 2 parole compliance checks during the operation. Both parolees were in compliance.
During the operation the property located at 415 Burbank was condemned by the City of Rockford Building Department for building code violations and safety concerns.
