No parent wants to ever know that harm’s been done to their child, but unfortunately that was the case of young Arizona girl, and now two Rockford men suspected of raping and kidnapping her are being held in the Winnebago County Jail.

The girl's torment started back in September when she ran away from home in Arizona. She was introduced to a mutual friend who investigators say later planned her abduction.

Throughout the month police say she was taken to an apartment where she was raped, brainwashed, and kept in a dog cage by 20-year-old Mark Grayned and Deairick Newsome, both from Rockford. She was later found hiding in a box spring in Phoenix.

On Friday investigators caught up with the men here in Rockford. Arizona detectives have strong feelings about the case.
