Just in time for that flight home for the holidays, major changes from the Transportation Security Administration and it's sparking nationwide controversy.
The TSA announced that they will allow certain objects on board planes that have not been allowed for years. Items such as scissors, less than four inches long, and tools, less than seven inches long, are being allowed on planes as of December 22nd. TSA said they believe allowing these items will allow screeners to focus on a more extensive pat down search. The new plan will allow for a quicker security process and move the focus toward alarming items, such as explosives. Many airport personnel are outraged by the announcement.
