ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The numbers are in for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive and donations are down for this past holiday season.
This year the organization raised more than $170,000, that's down from last year when they brought in more than $220,000. Even with less donations the Salvation Army helped 16,000 families this year, that's 2,000 more than IN 2012. They also collected 9,900 toys and enough food to fill more than 3,172 boxes.
