Loveland Valentines Day Remailing Program
In 1946, Postmaster Elmer Ivers, Chamber of Commerce President Ted. W. Thompson and his wife Mabel came up with the idea to share the romantic name of the town of Loveland with the world. In February 1947, the Loveland Valentine Remailing Program was created.
The remailing program now averages 300,000 Valentines annually, including all 50 states and 140 foreign countries.
How to Remail from Loveland, Colorado
To receive a unique cancellation and Valentine cachet, enclose your pre-stamped, pre-addressed Valentines in a larger First Class envelope and mail it to:

Your Valentines will be removed from the larger envelope and hand stamped with the Loveland cachet, then mailed from the Loveland Post Office.
Valentines staying in the United States must be received no later than Feb. 8. Valentines headed outside the Untied States must be received by Feb. 3.
