ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Two teens are arrested after trying to to run away from police.
Rockford police say a black Oldsmobile allegedly pulled up to a man who was walking in the 2600 block of Bildahl Street around 3:00 a.m. Monday. One of the four guys in the car asked if the man was in a gang and the front seat passenger allegedly pointed a gun at him before they took off.
Police spotted the car a short time later and as the driver tried to get away he crashed into a snow bank near 10th Street and Sawyer Road. The driver and passenger took off on foot. Both were eventually caught. Officers say the 17-year-old passenger had a gun and pot. While the 17-year-old driver did not have a license. The two other people in the car are not in trouble.
