A fire in Loves Park gives crews quite a scare Monday.
When firefighters arrived at 202 River Park, the front porch was engulfed in flames. Thick, black smoke was pouring out of the windows. Initial reports stated that the occupant worked nights, and slept during the day. The home was searched three times, and no one was found.
The owner arrived home shortly after. Firefighters aren't sure what sparked the blaze. Although Chief Phil Foley says the wood burning stove could have played a role.
The home sustained smoke damage, but little fire or water damage.
