Rockford police say robbery is the apparent motive for the stabbing death of a retired auto worker in his home last week.
Police arrested two suspects over the weekend and prosecutors have charged them with killing 67-year-old Elbert Person.
His body was found in a bedroom of his home last Thursday. Police say the front door had been forced open and his computer was missing.
Nineteen-year-old Michael Moore and 32-year-old Shirley Reeves were arrested Saturday. Both are being held at the Winnebago County Jail on $1 million bond.
