Harlem School Board members are expected to vote on a list of potential cuts, cuts that could chop sports out of the school district.
The administration is recommending dropping sports if voters do not approve a funding referendum April 1. The district has tried twice to pass a referendum.
Superintendent John Hurley says the district has a two million dollar deficit and these cuts are the only alternatives unless the referendum passes. Hurley recommends saving sports if the referendum passes, but some other cuts will still have to be made.
The board is expected to address the cut list Monday night.
