The Rockford School District and the States Attorneys Office are expected to cut a deal Monday on the issue of school board races.
Both sides were in court Friday to determine how many school board seats would be up for election in April.
The district says five; the states attorney believes all seven seats should be on the ballot. The judge has indicated he would side with the school board.
The states attorneys' office is trying to work out an agreement on the length of the term of a couple of the seats.
