BELVIDERE (WIFR) – A car, nearly 90-years-old hits the road for one last time.
Owner of Manley Motors Rick Manley took a 1926 Model T Ford for a final spin from the dealership before donating it.
He dropped it off at its new home, the Boone County Historical Museum, this afternoon. It will eventually join the auto section of the museum, next to the first car that came off the Belvidere Chrysler assembly line.
"This car was sold in Belvidere, sold to a Belvidere person and then the Manley family went back and bought it back so it's going to remain here in Boone County so it's a great honor for us,” said Donald Banks, president of the Boone County Historical Society.
We can check out the Model T on display at the museum in about 3 weeks.
