The Illinois Supreme Court reversed the conviction of 35 year old Alan Beaman today. Beaman, a Rockford native, was convicted of murdering his 22 year old girlfriend, Jennifer Lockmiller, at her apartment near the Illinois State University campus in 1993. Beaman has always claimed his innocence in the murder... saying he couldn't have been at Lockmillers' apartment at the time the state says he was there.
Beaman will remain in prison in Dixon pending further action by the trial court in McLean County.

We will have more information tonight on the 23 news at 5 and 6.
