With Memorial Day just around the corner many of us will reflect on those who died serving our country, usually soldiers overseas, but there are men and women who die in the line of duty right here in the stateline. Winnebago County board chairman Scott Christiansen presented an american flag to Rockford firefighter Lt. Chris Scott in honor of his deceased father Rockford firefighter Don Scott. Rockford fire local 413 placed flags on more than 200 graves of Rockford firefighters who have died.
