If you already got your stimulus check and it wasn't as much as you thought it would be you're not alone. The IRS is now saying 350 thousand tax payers weren't compensated for their children.

Mistakes are being blamed on human error and computer glitches.

The IRS plans on mailing out checks in July to those who missed out on refunds for their kids.

My wife and I were told to expect a check for $1200.00 three months ago, but I suppose some brother-in-law needed it more. Because we didn't get it.

My understanding was that myself would receive $600 and my child would be $300. Being a single mom I needed that money. I only received the $600. I read that the IRS made a mistake in caculations and that some 350 thousand taxpayers would receive a second check. Anyone know of this even happening?

When I did mines using the calculator for to see how much I was getting back and I only got 300 less and I have two qualifying children under the age of 17 and I only gotten for one and that was not right.

According to the IRS they mailed my $600 dollar stimulus check to me on June 19, 2008. It is now July 28, 2008 and I have not seen a stimulus check. Did they not mail it? Did someone steal it and forge my name? I cannot get into direct contact with anyone. The number along with the extension is always busy and not accepting calls, or it puts me on hold forever. So far I stayed on for an hour waiting before I finally hung up. You are not stimulating anything if those people do not get the checks. In fact you are just annoying people with false anticipation. I could definitely use the extra money.

We were under the impression couples filing a joint return would receive $1200.00. We recived only $600.00. Will we recived the remaining $600.00?

Our Tax Accountant assured us we qualified for the $1200.00 stimulous check. When we received it it was only for & 600.00. Can you please explain to us what the problem was and why we didn't get the full amount? Sincerely, James E. Saad, Sonoma County Sheriff's Dept. Retired. What bothers me about this is that Im 21 years old and made about 15000 dollars part time while going to college and paying for it myself. Since I lived with my parents while at college they claimed me. Now I do not get the 600 dollars becuase they claimed me nor do my parents becuase im over 18. Well I was going to buy a bed. I guess I can not help stimuluate the economy but homeless people who do not fill get 300. Sorry I'm a little sour about this but I'm in college I paid my tax and I do not get the money nor my parents but homeless people get 300 dollars. What can they do with 300 dollars?

Anyone know how to tell if your one of the 350,000? Or is there a site on IRS.gov to make a claim on funds not received?

I thought we were to get 1200 for couples that file together, we only got 600 and we got the 600 for our 2 kids. I do hope they send me the remaining 600.

I got a check today, it has my correct home address on it, but the name is someone I don't know, I wonder which address the check with my name on it got mailed out to?

This is a crock!!! I didn't get the full amount for myself and people who made less than I, received more than me and I have children. I want to know what's going on!!! They said they reduced mine due to my 07 income, what is that supposed to me...The richer get richer and the poor get more poor!!

NICE...if you can't count on the IRS to calculate properly, who can you count on? They expect everyone to be ON POINT with their taxes, yet they can't even follow a formula they created. Like I said before.....NICE!

I only recieved $600 and i was short $300 but yet my friend received her whole $900, hopefully i get the rest in july like they claim

I thought that Head of Househould filiers were to get $600 for themselves and $300 per child. I have 2 children and received $900 I thought I was supposed to get $600 for myself, but only got $300. I am confused on the correct amount I should have gotten.

I am no apologist for the government but to ask "How can the governemnt "do" people like this?" is stupid. The government shouldn't be "handing" this money out to begin with! I received my $1,200 with the full knowledge that it is nothing more than more borrowed money. They are not "giving" us anything. Back to my point, I trust that my friend in Rochelle IL will have their mistake rectified; they deserves no less. However, let's do away with the mindset that the governemnt "did" her.
