Two Injured in Overnight Shootings

Two overnight shootings in Rockford are keeping police busy this morning. 20-year-old Paul Thomspon, Rockford, suffered a gunshot wound in his foot. That shooting happened at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Andrews and Irving. 25-year-old Patrick Madden, Loves Park, is undergoing surgery at Swedish American Hosptial this morning after he suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. Madden was hit at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Collin Street. Police say the injuries are not life threatening.
