On Saturday there was a local push to join the many across the nation who are showing signs and rallying against a war with Iraq. Even the bitter cold didn’t stop the hundred that hit the picket lines along East State Street with signs protesting a possible war with Iraq.
With troops being deployed daily to the middle east more than 400 people participated in Saturday’s protest in the hopes that President Bush will hear this message of peace and not go to war.
Organizers say they were shocked by the turn out and huge amount of support. One of the biggest protests happened in Washington where about a dozen Stateline residents are representing local voices.
