The name Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a bit deceiving. It is also brothers, cousins, friends and neighbors against drunk driving. Their missions are the same, to stop drunk driving, support the victims of drunk driving, and to prevent underage drinking.
According to Illinois Executive Director Susan McKinney every community is different. But the first step is always to get organized and get the word out.
MADD in Winnebago Co. is still in it's infancy with only a dozen members and a couple hundred dollars in their account. Members hope growing interest from public and corporate sponsors will eventually change that.
