New information tonight on a brutal teen beating caught on tape in Florida we told you about yesterday.

All eight teens believed to be involved in this classmate beating are now being charged as adults. Police say, a 16 year old was lured to a friends house where six school mates jumped her. Two boys served as lookouts while the cheerleader was attacked.

The teens now face battery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping charges which carry stiff penalties. Kidnapping could result to life in prison.

Crime should be treated as such, regardless of age.I feel the abusers were just looking for a target. Unfortunately for victoria she was the one that was chosen.I can't believe they are out on bail after they threatened her they would do it again even worse if she told. They have not shown any remorse.I would (not) trust them to follow through.

I am a mother of two girls and I hope that this never happens to them. I am sorry to say that I hope that these Young Adults will get what is coming to them. They need to learn that violence is not the answer and yes putting bad things online about someone is not the right answer either but that girl did not deserve to be beaten to a bloody pulp. They need to learn how to work out there problems like an adult and this is not to say that adults do not go and do crapy things either but if you are a good person then you can work out your problem because if I was that mother I would be in the court room everytime to make them girls look at you so maybe they can be sorry for what they have done.

i dont know why this happend however no matter why there is no excuses for this. im so happy this has happened to them because now there going to get a taste of there own medicine and they'll suffer like that poor girl had to suffer when they jumped her. My love and prayers are stretched out to that family.

It's time our children learn by this example that they cannot get away with violence anymore. Teens are so used to getting slapped on the hand, and this will prove times are changing.

Teens are getting wa out of hand. Viloence s not the answer to anything.

You do not know how happy this makes me and my family, we thought these kids were going to get another "probation ruling" like most the kids these days. After reading this story i was completely nauseas and even cried. The remorse i felt for this girl was something i have never felt before; Complete heartbreak!! People need to realise this can happen to anyone and there kids and we need to teach kids that this is not the way to be. More schools need to teach on teen violence, i know my school never did, and i was in HS just 3 years ago. I hope the best for this little girl and her family, i realise this is something they will never forget. Be strong, i will keep you in my prayers.

Does anyone know when the trial date is? And if the verdict's will be made public and posted on line? These kids need to do some time behind bars. I hope the two boys drop the soap in the shower while serving their time in prision so some real justice will be served!

i hope and i pray, that all eight of these criminals that beat that poor girl so badly get life in prison.

PARENTS! pay attention to your children and start taking some freakin' responsibility and stop lettign MTV, cell phones, ipods and computers raise your children. While life is jail is tough, too bad, they commited the crime, they should do the time. Children my ***! They knew exactly what they were doing. I say at least 10 years each and the mother should be in jail as well. Like that white gutter trash mess didn't know what was going on while she was home? Give me a break! I am so happy they will be tried as adults and they deserve the same pain that they caused that girl and her family! Look at the bright side, 8 less white trash on the streets

I believe all the girls should be sent to prison. Why should they be given a 2nd chance when they didnt consider that with Victoria. The sad thing is their parents see nothing wrong in what their children have done, if that would have been my child (which would never happen, b/c my children are not spoiled rotten brats who get whatever they want and have no boundaries)I would still love them but I would never condone what they did. I hope the judge throws the book at these foul mouth kids, just check out Marcades myspace page http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=46598429 - Maybe if their parents would have paid them more attention none of this would have happened.

I dont think this was right, But I dont belive in the death penalty or life in prison these girls need help. A slap on the wrist is not good either they should pay but also we need to figure out why? this happenes. I am so sorry I feel for you but God is the God of justice and also of mercy.....

This has placed such a burden on my heart that I wrote lyrics to a song about this. I hope one day you will be able to hear it. These girls should be punished for what they did. A slap on the wrist will only let others see that they can get away with behavior like this. As parents we need to take a stand and make sure stuff like this does not happen anymore. Bullying is a serious crime!!!!No matter the age.!!!! We need to take a stand against the internet. PATI (parents against the internet)It wasn't even my child, yet I just want to hug her. I also pray for the attackers that God will soften their hearts and fill them with compassion and remorse. Many blessing on the victim and her family. I am praying for you and the rest of our children of the future. There is much needed prayer for them.

I support Victoria Lindsay's family and my heart goes out to this young girl, whos life was shaken so badly. What concerns me are the laws that protect these miners who commit the crimes. In Canada, we have a young offenders act in which the government is making changes. These changes are mandatory and critical in the justice system. I hope the Canadian government impliments these changes to better protect the victims and make the young offenders pay for their crimes that they've commited.

I really think those kids that beat that girl up need some time in jail to think of what they really did and held as adults...they way they were cussing and going on they should be held as adults..I feel for the girl that got beat up because it really didn't have to go that far..myspace is nothing but trouble and drama...SO 4 THE ONES THAT WAS FILMING AND BEATING THE GIRL SO WELL IN YOUR FILE OF REPUTATION YOU HAVE NOW BECAUSE WHAT YOU DID WASN'T CALLED FOR.

Posted by: gloria Location: texas on Apr 16, 2008 at 02:09 PM
As a mother, i would go mad if someone did something like this to my little girl. I don't see how the parents didn't snap. I for one am very protective of my little one and could not imagine what i would do if someone hurt her. To videotape a vicious act such as this is sick. These girls can not say it was an argument that escalated b/c they planned this entire thing out. Premediated. I mean, did they not think that there was going to be consequences. I pray for the victim. However many teenage years she has left, she will be haunted by this crime. Having to start over when the chapter of highschool was close to being over in a few years, is unbelieveable. I overheard that the school is not punishing the girls at all. This is an outrage b/c if boys would have done this, you better believe the school would punish. Just because they were girls, cheerleaders, shouldn't eliminate them. They are supposed to be a positive example. A public national apology is in order and then jail time.

wow.. them girls really need to be in prison for life.. dats sad for them to do that.. i live in rockford and its bad but it hasnt gotten that far.. i wish the best to her..

Posted by: Maria Location: Kansas on Apr 15, 2008 at 05:06 PM
These teenage girls had low self esteem and were, obviously, not taught to feel compassion for one another, this starts at home. Many feel that fighting happens all the time, so whats the big deal? but does that make it ok? How does it stop? If we treat our issues from the time we are children/teenagers we will be more productive adults. Alot of our teenages carry so much anger within and are simply overlooked by their piers. Instead, this anger is accepted as a "cool" behavior. The problem needs to be targeted by the core (phsycological/emotional) we all need it. Compassion, Principal and Moral should be key in raising our children. Learning to love themselves as they are, feeling secure with who they are. These girls were feeling unvalidated and, therefore, searched on how to be noticed not by there skills and talents, but with violence. Completely overlooking compassion for one another. Phsycological Therapy should be mandatory for everyone in the US and covered by the government.

Fortunately these young womem just exposed the ugly truth about jealousy and envy. To get off on attacking another human being someone they called a friend is sick and I hope they get the help they need. To belittle them is not my attent they did enough damage by video taping that cruel attack. I just hope that the young lady that was assualted knows that she did not not derserve to be attacked and that some times when others see something special in you they try to destroy it.That was obvious in this case... My heart goes out to every parent involve sometimes are children choose the wrong path even when we as parents try to steer them down the right one.

I feel sorry the girl that beat but this is a great story to learn teens not loose their temper.

Posted by: Jeff Location: Boston, MA on Apr 14, 2008 at 08:22 AM
I hope each kid gets a coupld of years in prison...and each set of parents as well gets some sort of punishment. I think the victim should sue each of the families for medical costs.

I only wish that I had been at this house of horrors when these vicious attacks began... be certain that the innocent 16 year old cheerleader would not have been harmed! The polic would have been called immediately and the innocent victim would have been protected at any cost!

Posted by: troy Location: new york on Apr 13, 2008 at 05:34 PM
dont you think life in prison is to easy for them .how about some help. there still young adults. have you ever done anything wrong your whole life. i belive in secound chances. i fell bad for the girl no one should ever go thur that. they should do time and giving treatment. life in prison does noting but spend our tax dollors. maybe florida dont care. they like the money from the feds.the prison system will crash one day and we will wish that we did something else other build warehouses to put people in just to make money.yes i said it its all about money crimals hidden behind system.rape murders and harded crimals belong in there not someone stealing underwear.money money is all we care about florida sucks thats why i moved away.

I hope the judge in this case isnt too soft on these thugs...An example has to made or this kind of thing will happen again and again.

What monsters these kids are! What kind of parents raise children like these? Is it the culture down there, combined with the cheerleading culture. These kids deserve should get what they deserve along with counseling - deep counseling. The parents need help, too

let those little sleeze bag girls rott in jail for a life time, that was so wrong what they did .. in the video you hear one girl say watch my moms shelf unit! not one of the girls had the courage to say enough is enough the poor girl never even fought back, behind her in the video is a broom she should have wacked that little fat one in the pink pants right up side the head, they get what they deserve and the mother sticking up for her daughter and saying that this was made a big deal- well she has a brain the size of a peanut.. what would have happened had they killed her, and with blows to the head they could have..

Posted by: April Location: Rockford on Apr 11, 2008 at 07:13 AM
Yes-These teens need to be made an example of.It is unbelieveable what the young kids are doing these days and not getting punished enough.I have three boys and I'm afraid to let them go anywhere without me or dad-not only in fear of adults but the other kids more so-kids can be so evil. And I really believe it is the parenting. The parents need some type of punishment. This is a very, very sad thing that happened. My heart goes out to that poor girl and her family.

Posted by: Maxi Location: Boston on Apr 11, 2008 at 07:12 AM
I don't want these kids in society. It scares me so see what they are capable of when they get older. Send them to jail for a long time. I was so happy to hear that they are going to be tried as adults. I can't believe what some kids are capable of. The internet is an evil place for kids. I have all kinds of blocks on my sons computor now. No myspace. And I agree with the victims Dad. "We have taken God out of the schools."
