WASHINGTON (AP) -- Barack Obama's presidential campaign today repudiated a liberal talk show host's description of John McCain as a warmonger.

The comment was made to an audience that Obama later addressed.

Ed Schultz was warming up the crowd yesterday at a fundraiser for the North Dakota Democratic party when he tagged the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting as a "warmonger."

Obama wasn't in the room when Schultz spoke. The candidate spoke after a series of introductions by the state's three Democrats in Congress.

Obama thanked Schultz and called him "the voice of progressive radio."

But today, an Obama campaign spokeswoman says in a statement that "John McCain is not a warmonger and should not be described as such."

McCain is no war monger and Obama is no pacifist. His 2002 Iraq war speech was clearer than any politician in 30 years about the criteria needed to take the country to war. http://www.digg.com/politics/Full_text_of_Barack_Obama_s_2002_Speech_Against_the_Iraq_War It also took courage to speak this way when most of Congress was beating war drums and Obama was about to announce his run for the Senate.

Ed Schultz is a liberal radio talk show host who speaks for himself and no one else. Neither Barack or Hillary or anybody on the left should be expected to answer for Ed. He's his own man and will be quick to tell you that if you ask him. So, knock it off "media",; quick expecting Barack to explain the words of people not part of his campaign. John McCain, Ed is not part of Obama's campaign and you should know that. Maybe you do and you just decided to lie about it.

Democrats have no shame. They cry foul when they are smitten, but are quick to hit someone else and not take responsibilities for their own actions. Obama is no different. He did not have enough courage to repudiate his pastor early on when he heard him make racist remarks. Obama lacks the courage to rebuke the warmonger remarks himself. How can we expect him to stand strong for America in the face of withering pressure from Russia, or from Saudi Arabia, or Iran, when he has already demonstrated his lack of courage in the face of his pastor or a radio announcer or one of his aides?
