An area group for people with disabilities has come together to eat, drink and discuss important issues.
People First of Winnebago County held their annual picnic Saturday. Gathering members came together to have fun, network and talk about important issues such as housing and transportation needs. The organization's main message is that people with disabilities can have jobs in the community and have families just like anyone else. The group, which has been around for 14 years, is looking forward to their state conference in October.
