There's a new way to stopping unwanted junk mail from filling up our mailboxes.
Consumer credit reporting companies are running a Web site that allows consumers to "opt out" of getting credit card and insurance offers in the mail.
The site offers two options. We can have our names permanently removed from credit cards mailing lists. Or we can have our name removed for five years. And if we want to start receiving the offers again we can "opt in."
Just log onto www.optoutprescreen.com.
