Law enforcement agencies in our area were warned by the DeKalb County Sheriff department in Alabama that a suspect may be heading to the area. The 17-year-old is wanted for homicide and vehicle theft. Around 7 p.m. Friday night, Sheriff's deputy spotted his stolen truck in a parking lot at Harlem and North Second Street. It was unoccupied and police put out a bulletin. Another officer spotted the suspect running near a business. Several police departments responded and blocked off the area. A helicopter and canine unites were brought in to search the perimeter. After about 45 minutes deputies caught the fugitive. The name of this fugitive is still not known.
