Over 65 shots were fired in a wild gun battle last night in the Fairgrounds Housing Complex in Rockford. Three men were hit in the gunfire. One of those men has been charged. 26 year old Anthony Walls was hit in the foot. He was charged with discharge of a fireman and possession of gun by a felon. 18 year old Dwayne Tolliver and 16 year old Exzavia Gaston were also shot.

Their wounds are not believed to be life threatening. Rockford Police has recovered over 65 9 mm or 45 caliber shell casings in a shooting area longer than a football field. Deputy Police Chief Dominic Iasparro says it's amazing nobody else was wounded when the gunfire erupted around 6:30 p.m. Thursday night.
