Many seniors on Medicare are worried they're going to lose some of their benefits with the new prescription drug plan.
On Friday the Boone County Council on Aging led an informational session to explain the new system to Medicare recipients.
There are a lot of changes to the program, but most of them are in favor of those enrolled. The new plan eliminates many large deductibles and premiums. But all recipients must sign up for a plan again this fall.
The next Boone Council on aging meeting will be on Wednesday the 10th at 2141 Henry Luckow Lane. You can also find out more about the new Medicare program on www.medicare.gov.
