A man police believe hit and killed a Machesney park girl is back in jail.
50 year old James Ennis was originally arrested and charged with leaving the scene after striking and killing Ashley Simpson.
Police arrested Ennis at his home and charged him with failure to report an accident involving death.
He posted five thousand dollars bail the next day.
Now, after further investigation, the Winnebago County state's attorney's office has charged Ennis with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.
Now Ennis will have to pay 25-thousand dollars to bail out of jail.
