Wisconsin's Unemployment Rate Rises Slightly

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for May is 4.7 percent, up two-tenths of a percent from April.

The Department of Workforce Development says nearly 139,000 people were unemployed in Wisconsin last month.

May was the 12th straight month in which Wisconsin's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower than five percent.

The state had about 2.8 million non-farm jobs in May, up 27,000 from a year ago.
