Wells Running Dry

An employee of a well drilling company says they're getting a lot more business as wells run dry.

Dave Schuur says many poorly constructed wells are vulnerable during droughts and need to be drilled deeper into the water table. He says we all need to hold off on watering our lawns and just try to save our trees right now.

Schuur says there is one exception to conserving water. I your water is running dirty just let the garden hose run for a while and it should clear up.

But, don't do it if you live in Loves Park, the city is under an even-odd watering ban right now. That means if you live on the odd numbered side of the street, you can only water your lawn on odd numbered days such as Monday, June 27.
