Rockford area employers are expected to hire at a steady pace during the third quarter of 2005.
From July to September, 27 percent of companies interviewed said they plan to hire more, while 10 percent plan to reduce their payrolls and 60 percent expect to maintain current staff levels. Three percent are unsure of their hiring plans.
Manpower District Manager Ginnie Weckerly says the numbers are good news for the Midwest. She says the best job prospects in the Rockford area are in construction, wholesale/retail trade, transportation, public utilities and public administration.
