A man charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Loves Park man is in custody in Georgia.
Authorities say sheriff's police in Georgia arrested 24-year-old Markus Buchanan on Saturday. Winnebago County authorities believe he killed 22-year-old Christopher Houston, whose body was found in a burned out sport utility vehicle on Dec. 5.
Buchanan will be extradited to Illinois. His bond is set at $1 million dollars.
Twenty-one-year-old Jessica Lighthart was arrested with Buchanan.
Police believe she lured Houston to another woman's house. They say Buchanan then tried to rob him and shot him.
Police say Lighthart and the other woman helped Buchanan drive Houston's body to a rural Rockton Township field and helped set fire to the SUV.
