The nation's retailers are counting on procrastinators for a happy holiday season.

Stores and malls have been bustling during this last weekend before Christmas, but retailers say sales haven't been strong enough to make up for the post-Thanksgiving slump and it's not for lack of trying.

Stores are offering deep discounts and specials hoping to draw customers. The customers are coming in, but they're not spending so much money because of worries about job security and the economy's uncertain recovery.
