Gas prices have gone up nearly three cents a gallon over the past two weeks. According to the latest survey, the average price for a gallon of gas is $1.45.
Analysts attribute part of the price hike to a crippling strike by Venezuelan oil producers, refiners and shippers.
Venezuela is the fourth-largest supplier to the U.S. It's predicted the continuing instability in Venezuela and the threat of war in the Middle East could push prices higher next month.
