The soldiers left their companies to fill holes in other companies all around the nation. Some of them served in Iraq, some in Afghanistan and some trained other reservists within the United States.
But Saturday for the first time in more than a year they are reuniting with their local companies here at memorial hall. The ceremony is also for their families.
They've missed out on the usual support groups that military families organize within companies, so a behavioral specialist and chaplain will be on hand to help with the adjustment process of demobilization.
The commander of the reserve units will also hand out awards to some soldiers who served overseas.
The ceremony will be held at Memorial Hall on North Main Street Saturday at two o'clock. Everyone is welcome to attend and honor these soldiers.
