Blagojevich Adviser Rezko Baffled by Scrutiny

Antoin "Tony" Rezko tells the Chicago Tribune that his business deals are in no way connected to his financial support for Blagojevich and other high-profile politicians.

Rezko says he's done nothing wrong and has stayed away from doing business with the state since Blagojevich became governor.

Some Republican legislators have called for an investigation after a report that Rezko and another Blagojevich adviser got contracts to open restaurants at seven of Illinois' revamped tollway oases.

The Blagojevich administration has repeatedly said that Rezko hasn't benefited financially from his relationship with the governor.
