A Fortune 500 company is looking to build a new distribution center and Roscoe is on their radar.
The development would create up to 300 new jobs. The southwest corner of Willowbrook and Rockton Roads could soon be the site of the new distribution center, a center that would create 300 new jobs.
The name of company eyeing the land has not been released, but the village of Roscoe is doing everything it can to lure the business here.
Tuesday night the Village Board approved an incentive package which includes: property tax abatements for five years, sales tax rebates for 10 years, and the elimination of about $50,000 in permit fees.
Roscoe is competing with seven other cities for this deal, but village trustee Kathy Kliebe believes this site is the best choice. The 175 acres is not too far from the Rochelle Hub, plus the interstate, I-90, is only a block away.
