Beloit Restaurant Manager Sues Over Dismissal

Ryan Bennett says he worked for Culver's restaurant for seven years and was getting positive reviews when he enlisted in the Army last summer.

Bennett missed work for required military meetings and appointments and was fired.

Federal law protects military personnel from being fired from civilian jobs for fulfilling their military obligations. He's asked for lost wages and benefits as well as damages in his civil lawsuit.

Bennett begins his four-year military term in July.
