The most widespread severe weather observed Thursday was hail. Golf ball sized hail was reported in south Beloit and on Hwy 251 near Rockton. There were multiple reports of funnel clouds; one near Rockton Road in Winnebago County, one near Janesville and one in Evansville in Rock County Wisconsin.
None of the funnel clouds are believed to have reached the ground.
Something much more common than funnel clouds or hail stones also impacted many areas. Heavy rains caused some localized flooding. Cars faced over half a foot of standing water on multiple roadways on south Beloit's west side.
Though some of the larger hail stones caused a few dings in automobiles across the area, most of us got away without any damage, and the stateline receive some much needed rain.
