Several area fire departments battle a house fire in Cherry Valley.
The fire started around 3:30 Tuesday morning at 2617 Whale Avenue. Neighbors say they heard an explosion. The house was fully engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No one was living in the house at the time. Construction crews were set to begin work on the home. This is the third fire in the last two weeks at this house.
After the second fire, the house was condemned. The house is considered a total loss.
