Back in February, 14 local high school students took part in a dialogue to eliminate racism. The event was sponsored by the YWCA and the Jane Adams Center for Civic Engagement.
Two months later, this group gathered again to see what progress has been made.
This is a dialogue to eliminate racism in the schools. Each one of the students involved has devised a plan to wipe out racism in their hallways and classrooms.
Anti-racism activities such as assemblies, essays and orientation have been taking place in each of the schools since February.
This session was a chance to reflect and celebrate their progress and discuss what still needs to be done.
