ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- Illinois lawmakers have just a few more months to pass some sort of concealed carry law. Today Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon put together a group of freshman state lawmakers to meet with gun owners, hunters, police, and families of gun violence victims. Democrat Steve Stadelman is one of just 15 members. Simon wants the legislators to get different perspectives on gun ownership, before they draft a bill.
