Bush says the museum offers superb resources for Lincoln scholars and a chance to engage young people in the story of the sixteenth president.
Bush toured the interactive Lincoln Museum before it was dedicated Tuesday. He was joined by First Lady Laura Bush and U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert.
Museum director Richard Norton Smith says the president remarked that the museum succeeds at making history come alive.
He says Bush was particularly amused by an exhibit showing mock campaign commercials of the 1860 presidential election.
