The harvest breaks the previous record harvest of 2001 by almost 22 million bushels. The USDA says the record crop came from 9.9 million acres, an average yield of 52 bushels per acre.
That's also beats the previous record, 45.5 bushels per acre in 1994.
The state's soybean harvest was almost 32 percent larger than last year.
Nationally, the soybean harvest was a record 3.14 billion bushels, 28 percent more than 2003.
