Students competed in the penny drive to raise money for tsunami relief. They had jars and coffee cans in every classroom.
Each penny counted as one point, and kids could put quarters and nickels in other classes' jars to count as negative points against them.
It worked! Students handed over a check for more than $4,600 to the Red Cross Wednesday.
One of the two presidents of student council says they just wanted to do what they could to help.
