Presidential Candidates Spend New Year in Iowa

Several presidential candidates are welcoming the new year with campaign stops today in Iowa.

Democrats Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Edwards, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden and Bill Richardson are all in Iowa today as they try to gain momentum heading into Thursday's caucuses.

Republicans Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney also are in the state.

A new Iowa Poll by the Des Moines Register shows Obama with the support of 32 percent of those surveyed, compared to 25 percent for Clinton and 24 percent for Edwards.

The poll shows Huckabee with the backing of 32 percent of those surveyed with Romney at 26 percent.
